Lungo le sponde (le ripe) dei Navigli si srotolano, mescolandosi, il passato ed il futuro di Milano e convivono antichità ed contemporaneo, E' qui, a pochi passi dal modernissimo quartiere del design di via Tortona e del MUDEC, restano vivi la chiesa di San Cristoforo del XII secolo, il Vico dei Lavandai (il cui  nome risale alla seconda metà del '800) e si possono ammirare alcune opere di important streetartis internazionali.
